The track is in a largely derelict field which formed part of the old site of the school and is next to the current site of the school which reopened in December 1998 following a ?3.5M rebuild. All the old school buildings have been demolished. The track itself is redgra and in very poor condition. The inside lane is badly overgrown and unusable and the outside lane is also quite overgrown. There are however faint lane markings in lanes 2 to 5 which suggest it maybe used by the school. The infield is overgrown. The track is in the locality of Wyken.
