This Aberdeen running track opened in 1988 and had part of its surface replaced in 1996. It started life as Linksfield Stadium, and the current name remembers Chris Anderson, who was vice-chairman of Aberdeen AFC when the club won the European Cup-Winners Cup in 1983, as well as a local politician and a member of the local sports council. A Chris Anderson medal is still awarded each year for an outstanding sports performance.
