More about Imperial Road Athletics Track
This running track in Exmouth runs around the rugby pitch of Exmouth RFC and is in fair condition. The Town Council own the ground, but the rugby club hold a long term lease on everything except the track. Exmouth Harriers AAC rent the track at a peppercorn rent on condition they keep it maintained. Lane markings only go down for a short spell in summer, for the local school's sports day, though faint markings survive even in winter. An old sign tells users to pay at the nearby Exmouth Sports Centre, but those charges no longer apply. Jumping pits and a steeplechase water jump once existed here and have been grassed over.
