More about Roseberry Comprehensive School Track
This is one of the best kept local authority school running tracks in the country. The school spent £6,000 in 2001 on resurfacing it with new dolomite, and it's in excellent condition. Six lanes and coloured change over boxes go down in summer, though the track looks to be 7 lanes all round, with the 7th perhaps a little narrow. Jumping facilities are in fair condition, as are the throwing circles, and new take-off boards were on order for the jumps as of June 2001. The school grounds are secure and locked outside school hours, which is probably one reason for the quality of the facility, the other being the commitment of the Head of PE. Anyone wanting to hire the track for training sessions or events should contact the school to negotiate rates and access.
