The track is across the road from Loch Park home of Glenafton Athletic FC and is bordered on the north by River Nith and to the east and south by Afton Water. It is a redgra track and was the home of Afton Water AC and was used regularly for training and races. However the track was poorly maintained which affected club membership and serious use of the track ceased.
