We will be celebrating our 25th Anniversary of this Road Race first ran back in 2002 & we are hoping to make it the best yet. The course starts in Bampton Village and follows a scenic out and back course on quiet undulating tarmac roads passing along the shores of Haweswater in this dramatic Lake District valley. A perfect race for those training for spring marathons or those seeking to complete their first half marathon in a stunning location.  Race registration and toilets are at Bampton Village Hall CA10 2RS. Race starts at 11:30am and the race safety briefing will take place at 11:10am at the village hall.  The race start is a 5/10 minute walk from the village hall.  Race numbers can be collected from 09:30am Parking is available at the village hall and village green, however, we encourage car sharing for obvious environmental reasons. Parking will be coordinated by marshals so please follow their instructions and do not park on the race route or in the village! We rely on good relations with the local community to host this race.  All finishers will receive a hot tea or coffee and a delicious slice of Traybake flapjack from Traybakes (vegan option also available) whether you opt for a mug or not. Prizes to Overall Winners: 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes for male and female Other Prize Categories : 1st Male and female in U23, V40, V50, V60, V70 and First Team of 3 The minimum age limit is strictly 16 years old on the day of race.   Race entry limit is 500.
