This grass track is reported to be permanently available and is depicted on the Nairn Street Plan of Ronald Smith. A Grampian TV League, North Section fixture was here on 16th May 1999 but the rules of the league have changed and so these meetings are now held on the synthetic track at Inverness. A temporary 300m grass track at the nearby The Links is used for the Nairn Highland Games but this ground is reported to be full of rabbit holes.
