Track Information
UpdatedAdditional Information
The track is in a recreation ground opposite The Queen Mary Comprehensive School, Long Lane, Walton, LIVERPOOL, L9 6AF. It is reported to be in reasonable condition. It was known as the Coop track and used by Sefton Harriers as their training headquarters from at least the 1950s to at least the 1970s. An annual summer athletics meeting was held at the track which (in Norman Wilson's "A Centenary History" of Sefton Harriers) was reported to be well supported in the 1950s. The Sefton Harriers track championships took place here until at least 1970. The location of the track is in Fazakerley rather than the postal subtown Walton so hence the F in the NUTS name. A track attached to Liverpool Boys', Farza is mentioned in the 1962 AW list of cinder tracks so this may be this one.
