The running track in Bradford was built as cinder in 1931 and went synthetic in 1994. The shape is thought to have changed then to a regular oval, since OS maps show it with relatively long straights and tight bends, the home straight extended to make it about 200m long. The original pavilion is still in use, though it isn't suitable for wheelchair users, and a PA system is available. Proposals for a new pavilion, or a refurbishment of the existing one, were drawn up in 1997 and put on hold because of financial restrictions. The infield is the football pitch of Bradford Park Avenue AFC.
