This running track in Cardiff lies at the playing fields of Cardiff University, the public name for the University of Wales Cardiff, the largest part of the federal University of Wales. The grounds go by the Llanrumney Sports Complex or Llanrumney Playing Fields as well. The track is in very poor condition and fairly overgrown, clearly disused for serious athletics, though light jogging is still possible. No field event facilities remain usable. Two grassed over runways and the outline of the filled in steeplechase water jump show on the top bend, and an extension for the javelin is visible outside the first bend. Floodlight pylons have gone in down the middle of both straights to light the centre grass pitch. A small hut stands outside the first bend. The rest of the complex is very well maintained, with numerous grass pitches for various sports.
