Space was tight, so it comes out at the odd length of 363 yards and is virtually circular, with very short straights, one of them extended for sprints. It was the home track of Shettleston Harriers until the one at Crownpoint opened. Use was heavy through the 1950s and 60s, with inter club fixtures against Clydesdale Harriers, Edinburgh Southern and others held here. The surface was reported to be good, and relatively good times were recorded on it.
