The infield is leased to Blackheath RFC, and four floodlight pylons have recently gone in on each straight on the outer lane. The track itself has been left in a terrible condition and is unsafe even for jogging, and there's been some talk of grassing it over completely. The pavilion has had some money spent on it by the rugby club but still looks very run down. The track runs about 20cm narrower than standard for 4 lanes, and it isn't a perfect oval, as the first bend, the more easterly one, is much tighter.
