The track is within the very scenic and virtually flat Levengrove Park and is a red blaes one. The drains on the track have collapsed but the track is still usable. There is a fairly large and well equipped weights and conditioning room within the Marinecraft Leisure Centre which is effectively the pavilion for the track as it is less than 100m away. Throws coach Hugh Murray often has sessions here as there is a permanent DT/HT cage. There are plans to redevelop the track into a synthetic one. A first funding application to Sport Scotland in 2003 apparently failed due to lack of cover for support facilities. West Dunbartonshire Council are looking at a further application to include the cost of these updates.
